  1. Peel and clean the vegetables. Cut the onion, carrot, tomato and potato into roughly 1.5 cm cubes, keeping the potato separate.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pot. Fry the diced bacon, then add the onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add the diced pork and cook until the meat is pale on all sides.
  4. Add the carrot and tomato, cook while stirring, then pour in the red wine.
  5. Add the water, vegetable seasoning, black pepper, paprika, marjoram, thyme, caraway, bay leaves, stock cubes and red pepper paste. Simmer until the pork is tender.
  6. Add the potatoes and the rest of the water. Stir after a few minutes, taste and adjust the seasoning.
  7. When the potatoes are tender, remove the bay leaves and serve the soup hot.
