  2. Lower the eggs in carefully and boil for about 6 minutes for a soft yolk.
  3. Meanwhile toast the rye bread and butter it.
  4. Cut the buttered toast into long strips.
  5. Set the eggs in egg cups and slice off the tops, then season with salt.
  6. Serve the soft eggs with the rye strips for dipping.
