- Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for a few minutes, then mix in the mince, egg, grated onion, allspice, salt and pepper. Combine gently and shape into small, even meatballs with wet hands.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes until soft. Drain, then mash with the butter, warm milk and nutmeg into a smooth puree; season with salt.
- Fry the meatballs in butter over medium heat, turning, for 8-10 minutes until browned all over and cooked through.
- Lift out the meatballs, stir the cooking cream into the pan juices and let it bubble briefly into a sauce. Serve the meatballs with the mash and the cream sauce.
