- Cut the chicken breast into smaller slices and lightly pound them if desired. Season the slices with salt and black pepper. Grate the cheeses and mix them together.
- Line a deeper baking dish with bacon slices so that the ends hang over the edges.
- Add a layer of chicken breast, then a layer of ham. Spread thinly with sour cream and sprinkle generously with the mixed grated cheese. Repeat the layering two more times.
- Fold the overhanging bacon slices back over the top so they cover the casserole.
- Bake in a preheated 180 C oven, covered with foil, for about 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil for the final 15 minutes so the top browns well.
- Let the casserole cool slightly, then turn it out of the form if desired and slice to serve.
