  1. Cook the rice in the milk with a pinch of salt over low heat until soft and porridge-like, then let it cool slightly. Heat the oven to 175 C.
  2. Melt the butter and soften the onion until translucent.
  3. Mix the rice porridge with the liver, onion, beaten egg, maple syrup, allspice, salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until set and golden. Serve hot, traditionally with lingonberry and melted butter.
